Forgetting is not the same as forgiving.

It is only after you truly forgive that you can start to truly forget.

    Why do I find myself disagreeing with that. Forgiveness happens the instant you do just that, but forgetting it does not always follow. You may not bring that instant up again, but there will be consequences, which for me counts as not forgetting. Hehe.

    Yep. Note the word “start”. Forgetting or “choosing not to remember” is never instant for humans. Forgiveness merely starts that process.
