Nothing spoils an anticipation as much as a foiled presentation.
Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer was worth watching because of the simple fact that its prequel was HOT. The characters were hot, but ROTSS was not HOT. The plot was flat and dry despite the parts trying to be cutsie with Mr. Fantastic’s and Invisible Woman’s wedding. It was just one lousy movie that did not justify its use of high performance CGI. They should have just thrown off half the money in production to Indie filmmakers. I’m sure it would have been spent to good use.
It just goes to show that some movies are only great in developing anticipation, but fail miserably in presentation.
